Dr. Louis Zona, executive director of the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, will present "Realism from Giotto to Chuck Close" at Thiel College at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Kraig Smith has been appointed the director of alumni relations at Thiel College. Smith graduated from the College in 2012 with a degree in forensic accounting, business administration and accounting. Previously, he served in the student life department.
