GREENVILLE, Pa.—The public is invited to celebrate the fifth annual opening of the Rissell-Schreyer Dome from 5-10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5 at Alumni Stadium in Greenville, Pa. This event is free and open to the public.
The family-friendly dome opening celebration features a variety of activities. An airbrush t-shirt artist, a photo booth and caricature artist will be on hand. Inflatable attractions also will be available to celebrate the opening. Admission is free, but food and certain activities will require tickets for community members.
Hermitage-based Joy Cone also will be unveiling a special new product at the opening.
The Dome will be open for community access again this winter and spring. Dome access is free for community members who would like to use the facility for walking. Access for walkers is Monday through Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. The dome is closed during all school breaks. The driving range also will be available after Christmas break. Golf access is Monday through Friday, 8 to 11 a.m. Buckets of golf balls (approximately 50) are available for $5.
For the safety of community members and Thiel’s student-athletes, the community’s cooperation in recognizing the College’s wishes to keep its varsity athletic practices closed to those outside of the Department of Athletics is very much appreciated.
The Rissell-Schreyer Dome is available for rental to a variety of groups and organizations at a reasonable cost. Contact Dan McMillen at 724-589-2239 or dmcmillen@thiel.edu for more information.
