Hiram College abstract painter and ceramic sculptor team up for exhibition

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Painter George Schroeder and ceramic sculptor Dave Thomas will exhibit their work at Thiel College’s Weyers-Sampson Gallery from Jan. 21 to Feb. 20.

An opening reception is from 3 to 5 p.m. Jan. 21.

Schroeder (art on left) is an emeritus member of the Hiram College art faculty. George Schroeder is primarily an abstract painter who also works in collage. Schroeder taught in the art department for over 40 years at Hiram.

Thomas is an instructor of ceramics and sculpture at Hiram. He began his teaching career at Hiram in 1990 as an adjunct professor and has exhibited his work regionally and nationally for the last 35 years.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Weyers-Sampson Gallery is located on the first floor of the Howard Miller Student Center.
