Fenlock’s addition strengthens Thiel commitment to student career development

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Thiel College announces the addition of Nicolette Fenlock to the Career Development Center staff as assistant director. She joined Thiel College in the fall of 2014 and has been working with Associate Dean of Career Development Martin Black to strengthen the Career Center’s programs, internship opportunities for students and increasing post-graduation career placement for alumni.

“Thiel College is fortunate to have added a person with the experience and credentials of Nicolette Fenlock,” Black said. “She will be an integral part of the Career Development Center’s mission to provide top-tier services to students, alumni and employers. She will play a key role as we partner with students to develop a personalized career plan and provide career-related opportunities.”

Fenlock worked at Kent State University at Trumbull, where she served as academic and career advisor and taught a first-year experience course for new students. Prior to Kent State, Fenlock was an academic advisor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Swanson School of Engineering advising students in major selection and academic planning. Fenlock is a Kent State University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in communication studies. She has a master’s degree in education counseling: student affairs leadership and practice from Youngstown State University.

Since her appointment, Fenlock and Black have been actively developing Thiel’s four-year blueprint to prepare students for the real world.
