Thiel College’s mascot, Tommy the Tomcat, joined mascots from across the region Friday, Sept. 5, in the annual Mascot Race benefiting the Mercer County Food Bank. The race was part of the organization’s food drive to raise awareness and support in the fight against food insecurity.

The Thiel College community is mourning the death of student-athlete Toby Atwood ’26, who passed away Sunday, July 20, after collapsing during the Presque Isle Half Marathon in Erie, Pa. Atwood was a rising senior, an accomplished member of the women’s tennis team and a campus leader.
