The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra "swings" into Thiel College's Passavant Center, at 8 p.m. Dec. 2. The Glenn Miller Orchestra, famous for such tunes as "In the Mood," "Pennsylvania 6500," and "Moonlight Serenade" became popular during the "swing era" of the 1940s, and remains one of the most sought after big bands in the world.

The Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride hosted one of the largest contingents of high school musicians the event has had for its Fifth Annual Thiel Band Day on Saturday with 137 students representing more than 50 high schools and three states.
