GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Music Department will present the Thiel concert band’s 2026 spring concert, “Emotions & Dances,” at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the William A. Passavant Memorial Center. The concert is free and open to the public.
The performance will feature the Thiel concert band, continuing its tradition of presenting a major spring concert each academic year. The ensemble provides students with prior instrumental experience opportunities to perform in a collaborative and dynamic musical setting throughout the year.
This year’s program, “Emotions & Dances,” will explore a wide range of musical expression through energetic rhythms and evocative melodies. The repertoire is designed to highlight both the technical skill and artistic versatility of the ensemble, offering audiences a program the blends engaging movement inspired works with emotionally driven compositions.
The Thiel Concert Band is led by Director of Bands Scott M. DiTullio, Ed.D., who joined Thiel College in 2021. DiTullio brings nearly three decades of teaching and conducting experience to the ensemble. He also serves as a lecturer for the Department of Music and Theatre and Director of the Prelude Band for the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.
The spring concert is a key event in Thiel College’s performing arts calendar, bringing together students and community members to celebrate music and student achievement.
