GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel Choir launches its holiday performance schedule Nov. 20, with events continuing through early December and culminating in the College’s 72nd annual Christmas Festival.
The first performance will be a Lessons and Carols service during common hour on Nov. 20 in the Langenheim Memorial Library. A second Lessons and Carols service, a traditional worship program that recounts the story of salvation from creation to the birth of Jesus, will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 23 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville. The service will feature members and choirs from both Thiel College and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
The 72nd annual Christmas Festival starts at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel. The festival will include participation from campus ministry and various vocal ensembles within the Thiel Choir.
The choir will also perform at noon Dec. 2 at the Mercer County Courthouse.
Thiel College Choir Director Brianne Samson said the holiday season provides opportunities for students to share music with the campus, local congregations, and the wider community.
In March 2026, the choir will embark on an international tour to Austria and Switzerland, with scheduled performances in Vienna, Salzburg, and Zurich. The tour is intended to broaden students’ cultural experiences and allow them to connect with audiences abroad through regionally inspired repertoire.
