Canfield High School girls choir joining Thiel College singers for concert

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Music Department will present its fall choral concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel.

The concert is free and open to the public.

With a theme inspired by Día de los Muertos, the program celebrates the legacies of composers who passed away in significant milestone years, such as 50 or 100 years ago.

The evening’s performances will include the talents of multiple Thiel vocal groups: the Thiel Choir, Thiel Singers, Thiel Treble Choir, Thiel Men’s Choir, and first-year student Jacob Hoffman ’28. The concert’s first half will also feature members of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra, adding orchestral depth to the event’s unique program.

Thiel College will also welcome a special guest ensemble: One Octave Higher, the women’s chorus from Canfield High School, directed by Megan Kalosky.

This event offers a distinctive opportunity for attendees to experience a blend of classical music and cultural tradition, while also witnessing a range of vocal and orchestral talents.
