Thiel Players staging production of [title of show] at College’s William A. Robinson Theater

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel Players will open their production of [title of show] on Friday, March 24, in Thiel College’s William A. Robinson Theater.

[title of show] is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and based on a book by Hunter Bell. The show follows the story of Jeff and Hunter, two self-confessed nobodies in New York who make a pact: they will write an original musical and submit it to a festival. With only three weeks to submit the musical, they enlist the help of their two actress friends, Susan and Heidi, and their accompanist and music director, Larry. With the team assembled, Jeff and Hunter decide to follow the old adage, “write what you know,” and set off on a unique musical adventure: writing a musical about writing a musical.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. on March 24, 25, 31, and April 1, and 2 p.m. on March 26 and April 2. General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased online. Students with valid IDs can attend for free. Reservations are recommended.

The William A. Robinson Theater is located behind the William A. Passavant Memorial Center on campus. The Thiel Players present two major productions each year and have been providing theater entertainment to the campus and community for more than five decades.
