GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel Players will debut their first performance under new Thiel College Director of Theatre and Professor of Theatre History J.K. Rogers, Ph.D. beginning Nov. 12.
The Thiel Players will perform Caryl Churchill’s “Love and Information” on Nov. 12–14 and Nov. 19-21 at William A. Robinson Theater. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7, while Sunday’s performance is at 2 p.m. “Love and Information” is a compilation of seven sections each with a number of ‘scenes’ that range from less than a minute in length to a few minutes long. Rogers directs and is assisted by Jakob Shingler ’22. The performance is free, but seating is limited.
For the health and safety of the Thiel College community, this event is being planned in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines, which include reduced attendance, hygiene recommendations, social distancing and the use of masks regardless of vaccine status.
Rogers has worked professionally as a theatre artist and technician in numerous venues across the United States and abroad for over 20 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Connecticut College. Rogers also received master’s degrees in theatre and English from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a master’s degree in arts management and a doctorate in theatre from the University of Oregon.
