GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Robert B. Morgenstern, M.D. will be the commencement speaker for Thiel College’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies Commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, in the William A. Passavant Memorial Center.
The ceremony will recognize the program’s third graduating cohort and include remarks from student speaker Madeline Lauther M.S.’25. Thirty-six students are set to graduate.
Morgenstern is a board-certified internist who has practiced in the Shenango Valley for more than 40 years. He served as chief medical officer at Sharon Regional Medical Center from 2012 to 2020. As the founding medical director of Thiel’s Physician Assistant Program, he helped establish clinical and academic standards and supported the program’s accreditation. In retirement, he continues to lecture in the Principles of Medicine course.
During the ceremony, Thiel College will confer an honorary degree to Morgenstern in recognition of his professional leadership and longstanding support of PA education.
