GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College students in the Master of Science in physician assistant studies program gathered items to donate to the Erie, Pa. Mercy Center for Women as part of the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates annual charity event.

Each year a local charity in the host city of the PSPA annual conference is chosen.

According to its website, Mercy Center for Women aims to keep the most vulnerable members of the Erie community safe. The organization provides safe and supportive transitional and permanent housing, education, and support services for women, men, and children experiencing homelessness. Mercy Center has connections with social service agencies and volunteers to form a network of ongoing support, mentoring, and education for residents. The organization is celebrating 30 years of combating homelessness.

Thiel College faculty members attended the conference and all the items were brought to the annual conference in Erie, Pa. to be donated.
