GREENVILLE, Pa.-- James E. Tkacik, D.M.Sci., director of the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program and professor of physician assistant studies at Thiel College, has been appointed director at large for the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates.
The Pennsylvania Society of Physician Associates is a statewide organization focused on advancing the physician assistant profession and improving the quality of medical care in Pennsylvania. The PSPA works with employers, students and practicing physician assistants to promote professional development and advocacy.
Directors at large are elected by PSPA members and must hold active memberships in good standing with both the PSPA and the American Academy of Physician Associates. According to the PSPA, the position is considered a competitive leadership role within the organization.
The fourth cohort of Thiel College physician assistant studies students will graduate from Thiel College on Saturday, Sept. 6.
