  • Thiel Players

The Thiel Players present two major productions each year, along with a number of smaller productions including student-directed or written pieces. A musical revue occurs annually and a major musical is produced every other year.

Main stage production choices fall on a three-year rotation. Every three years students will have an opportunity to work on an Classic piece (Greek, Roman, Sanskrit), a period-language piece (Renaissance, Restoration), an early modernist piece (Ibsen, Chekhov), an English language classic (O’Neill, Churchill, Miller), a contemporary play (published within last decade), a musical, and a theater for young audiences production.

All Thiel students are eligible to join. Students can earn a minor in theatre by enrolling in a variety of theatre classes, including acting, directing, technical theatre and theatre history. All members may join Alpha Psi Omega, the national theater honorary fraternity. Scholarships (renewable annually) are available for incoming first-year students who are committed to playing in the theatre. Email Dr. JK Rogers for details at jrogers@thiel.edu.
