Thiel College welcomes seven new faculty members across multiple disciplines

GREENVILLE, Pa.--
Seven accomplished faculty members, representing a diverse range of expertise in their respective fields, have joined the faculty at Thiel College.
- Anatomy and Physiology Lecturer Daniel Dankovich, D.C. is teaching in the Master of Science in physician assistant studies program. Dankovich earned his B.A. from Ohio State University in 1984, followed by his B.S. and Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degrees from the National College of Chiropractic in 1989.
- Assistant Professor of Exercise Science Emily Erb, Ph.D. is teaching as part of Thiel College’s Bachelor of Science in exercise science major. Erb holds a B.A. from Youngstown State University (2018), an M.S. from Kent State University (2020), and earned her Ph.D. from Kent State University in 2024.
- Lecturer of Physician Assistant Studies Gregory Hellier, D.O. joins Thiel’s physician assistant studies program. He completed his B.S. at St. Francis College in 1985, his Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989, and an M.S. from Robert Morris University in 2016.
- Lecturer of Physician Assistant Studies Mary Honard, MPAS, PA-C joins Thiel’s faculty as a Lecturer of Physician Assistant Studies. She holds a B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (1994), an M.A. from Indiana State University (1996), and an M.S. from Duquesne University (2007).
- Lecturer of Physician Assistant Studies Omar Malik, M.D. brings his expertise to Thiel’s physician assistant studies program. He earned his B.A. from Saint Bonaventure University in 2009 and his M.D. from the American University of Integrative Sciences in 2014.
- Visiting Assistant Professor of Political Science Eric Matthews, Ph.D. is teaching in the Department of Political Science. He earned his B.A. from the University of Florida in 1986, his M.A. from the University of Kentucky in 1991, and his Ph.D. from Kent State University in 2006.
- Lecturer and Externship Coordinator, Speech-Language Pathology Cassandra Shearer, CCC-SLP
is serving as both Lecturer and Externship Coordinator in the Speech-Language Pathology program. She holds a B.A. (2016) and M.S. (2017) from Clarion University.
