GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will host a Cheer Recruitment and Skill Clinic on Saturday, July 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at FI Hermitage in Hermitage, Pa. The clinic is open to high school cheerleaders interested in learning collegiate-level skills and exploring potential opportunities with the Thiel College cheer program.
The cost to attend the clinic is $50. Participants will engage in sessions focused on skill development, strength conditioning, collegiate stunts and pyramids, one-on-one instruction, sideline material, and team dynamics. Registration is open to individuals in sixth grade or older (or equivalent age).
Check-in will take place from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Attendees will receive program information, an admissions packet, and a 2025 recruitment T-shirt.
“This clinic is a chance for students to experience what it’s like to be part of a collegiate cheer program while learning new skills and connecting with our team and coaching staff,” Burnett said. “It’s also an opportunity to showcase the energy and spirit that define Thiel cheer, and to welcome prospective student-athletes to our campus community.”
The clinic follows a successful season for the Thiel College cheer program, which earlier this year secured its fourth consecutive top-three finish at the National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Tomcats have built a reputation for excellence, dedication, and competitive achievement—winning a national championship in 2023 and a national runner-up finish in 2022—while fostering a supportive team culture.
The July 19 event at FI Hermitage builds on Thiel’s summer outreach initiatives, which include the Lil’ Scratchers Cheer Camp for children ages 4–12 hosted on campus in July.
