Michigan high school student awarded Dean’s Scholarship to Thiel College

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Caleb Burkes, of Eastpointe, Mich., has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship to attend Thiel College.

The Dean’s Scholarship, worth $12,000 over four years, is awarded annually to five incoming students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

Burkes is a student at South Lake High School and plans to major in exercise science.

While in high school, Burkes was a member of the school’s football team.

Burkes is the son of Andrianne Fiddler.

At Thiel College, students benefit from a supportive learning environment and strong financial aid opportunities. Ninety-nine percent of Thiel students receive some form of financial aid, including merit scholarships, grants and other assistance.
