GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College has awarded a total of $25,000 in Leadership Scholarships to five high school seniors from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership potential, and community involvement.
Each recipient demonstrated excellence in leadership, co-curricular activities, and service to their school and local communities. Iadanza is an accomplished pianist and winner of the FNB Financial Trivia Challenge. Talkington is active in his school’s varsity robotics team and specializes in unmanned aerial vehicle technology. Sperduto is involved with her school’s Gay-Straight Alliance while balancing academic responsibilities and full-time employment. Cannon is the creator and host of the Bridges & Books podcast, and Mack serves as class secretary and participates in multiple extracurricular programs.
The students earned their scholarships through a competitive process that included an interactive leadership activity that was judged and evaluated by Thiel College faculty and staff during an on-campus event held in early February.
“We are pleased to recognize these students with Leadership Scholarships,” said Sonya Lapikas, Director of Admission at Thiel College. “Their strong academic performance, leadership experience, and dedication to their communities made them stand out during the selection process. We look forward to seeing the positive contributions they will make to our campus.”
