GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Office of Admission at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, recently hired Thiel College graduate, David Waugaman ’15 as an admissions counselor.
As an admissions counselor, Waugaman will be responsible for advising students and families of admission requirements, financial aid, cost of attendance, and scholarship information. He will recruit prospective students by conducting high school visits, attending college fairs in selected territories, processing applications for traditional freshmen students and conduct credential evaluations in order to make application decisions. Additionally, he will assist with the daily operations of the Office of Admission through daily admissions presentations, interviews with prospective students, on/off campus admission events, orientation days as well as email, social media and phone call campaigns.
“When I found out I got the position I was extremely excited to return to Thiel as an admissions counselor. I look forward to giving back to Thiel by recruiting future generations of Tomcats,” Waugaman said.
During his education at Wichita State, he served as a graduate teaching assistant for history classes. At Thiel, he was a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity. He was the Student Government Association vice president for a year, president of the history honor society Phi Alpha Theta and president of Pi Sigma Alpha.
Waugaman received a Master’s degree in history from Wichita State University in 2017 and his Bachelor of Arts in history and political science from Thiel College in 2015.
