GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, was represented by Senior Admission Counselor Evan Gruver at the 55th annual Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling Conference recently.
Gruver was a session moderator for one of the 48 presentation panels, and he was one of three presenters on Travel Planning 101. The session, “Travel Planning 101,” was designed for newer admission counselors. It discussed planning their travel destinations, college lodging and diet on the road.
“It was definitely an honor to represent Thiel College at PACAC and contribute to the professional development of not only myself but the profession as a whole,” Gruver said.
June was a busy month for Gruver. He was one of Thiel College’s representatives to the national Lutheran youth gathering in Houston. More than 30,000 high school-aged students and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America attended the event.
Gruver has been an admissions counselor at Thiel for about a year. During that time, he has also served as the head coach for both women and men’s rugby teams. He received his M.A. in higher education/higher education administration from Messiah College and his B.A. in economics from Grove City College.
