Cleveland artist Stina Aleah to showcase work and inspire students at Thiel College

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College’s Common Hour will feature Stina Aleah, a nationally acclaimed Cleveland-based artist, at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, in Stamm Lecture Hall at the Pedas Communication Center.

Aleah, a painter and storyteller, creates works that go beyond brushstrokes on canvas—they reflect her life experiences. Her portraits, infused with emotion and resilience, convey stories of empowerment, self-discovery, and human connection. A self-taught artist, Aleah has gained national recognition, with her work collected both in the U.S. and internationally. She has collaborated with major corporations, Emmy-nominated television series, and celebrities, and has exhibited her art in galleries and major exhibitions.

Aleah’s mission is to inspire others to embrace their unique paths, find healing through creativity, and explore art as a means of expression. During her visit to Thiel College, she will share the journey behind her powerful artwork, discuss the motivations driving her creative process, and explore how art can be a catalyst for personal and societal change.

“Behind every brushstroke, transition of color, and embellished figure lies a hidden message. I encourage viewers to look beyond the surface of the canvas to uncover stories that are relevant and relatable to ourselves and our society,” Aleah states on her website.

Common Hour at Thiel College occurs every Thursday at 11:30 a.m., offering students opportunities to engage in unique programs and discussions. The Office of Student Activities and Involvement also organizes a variety of student events, including concerts, raffles, social gatherings, and holiday celebrations.
