GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Weyers-Sampson Art Gallery opened two new exhibits on Friday, February 18.
In celebration of Black History Month, a Black History Timeline exhibit will be on view in the front gallery. The show opened with a reception at noon Friday, February 18. This show will be open until March 31.
Another exhibit of 20th-century prints from Thiel College’s permanent collection will also be open for viewing in the back gallery. These prints are characterized by creative expressions that are reflective of the mood, reality, and truth of the experiences had by people during the tumultuous times of societal change in the twentieth century. This showing will also last until March 31.
The gallery will be closed during spring break from March 5-13. Following the conclusion of these two art exhibits, a student art show will be on view in both galleries from April 7-29.
The Spring 2022 Weyers-Sampson gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1–3 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:30–4:30p.m., or by appointment. Contact Professor of Painting and Curator of Art Sean McConnor for more information.
