The Seneca Valley School Board officially approved changing the name of Seneca Valley Middle School to Ryan Gloyer Middle School on Monday to honor the 2004 Thiel graduate and decorated Green Beret, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in November 2016.

Thiel College announced this month that 267 students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2017 semester. A student must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full time to be eligible for the Dean’s List at the College.

Three Thiel College students will be making their first international trips this summer after they were selected for the Vira I. Heinz Scholarship for Women in Global Leadership. The scholarship is offered to women with at least a 3.0 GPA, who have never traveled outside of the United States previously.
