GREENVILLE, Pa.—Andrew Erb, director of bands and Instructor of Music at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, will perform at the Succop Theatre on the campus of Butler County Community College at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 25.
Erb is a member of The Northwest Passage Trumpet Trio. The trio also comprises Westminster College Professor of Trumpet Timothy Winfield, D.M.A., and Allegheny College Professor of Trumpet Jennifer Dearden, D.M.A. The trio is accompanied on piano on several pieces by Paula Kubik.
The concert includes a diverse repertoire encompassing a multitude of styles including folk music, tangos and modern compositions. The trio will present James Stephenson’s “Legacies,” a work originally written for master trumpeters, Bill Pfund, Wiff Rudd and Christopher Wilson. The trio will also present Daniel Thrower’s “Indescribable Moods,” a musical journey through many musical styles and moods.
