The president of the Pittsburgh-based charitable trust The Dietrich Foundation and two members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly were among the more than 200 alumni, staff, students, and friends of Thiel College on hand Thursday as the College launched its sesquicentennial celebration at Founders’ Day.

Thiel College announced this month that 322 students were named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2015 semester. A student must attain a grade point average (GPA) of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale while being enrolled full time to be eligible for the Dean’s List at the College.
