GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College student radio station, WXTC 88.1 FM, plans on hosting two Pittsburgh-area bands and a slate of student performers as part of its sixth annual music festival to support the Save the Music Foundation on April 18.
The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be collected for the Foundation throughout the evening with all funds raised to be donated to the charity. TrailHeads, a four-piece, genre-hopping, musical experience that blends funk and rock with melodic improvisational jams, and Pittsburgh-area band Midnight Snack are headlining the event.
Thiel College students Sophia Kostoff ’21, Walter Holtgrefe ’23, Jake Orczek ’22 and Jonny Russell ’21 will be performing. Thiel College student Talia O’Brien ’20 and Justin Berk will perform together.
This event is sponsored by the James Pedas Communication Center, Thiel SGA, the Department of Media, Communication and Public Relations Department, Thiel Student Life, WXTC 88.1FM and TCTV
“It is wonderful to see the collaboration of our student media and the live events club in the planning, promotion and execution of this event,” said James Pedas Communication Center executive director Kyle Woody, Ed.D. “This event always draws members of the campus community together. I appreciate the faculty leadership to pull this event together.”
Various Thiel College clubs and organizations are scheduled to have tables set up with games as part of the event.
