GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will recognize three outstanding members of its campus community for their commitment to service during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Service Award Ceremony, to be held at 4 p.m. Monday, January 19 in Stamm Lecture Hall of the James Pedas Communication Center.
This year’s recipients include Associate Professor of Psychology Natalie Homa, Ph.D., who was selected as the faculty award recipient and graduate students Brandon Flock ’25 MBA ’26, of Greensburg, Pa, and LaShawn Williams ’25 MBA ’26, of Farrell, Pa. The MLK Jr. Day Service Award honors individuals whose dedication to service, leadership, and community engagement exemplifies the values and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Flock is a Master of Business Administration student who graduated from Thiel College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Williams is also an MBA student. She graduated from Thiel College with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
During the ceremony, members of the Thiel College community will speak on behalf of each honoree, highlighting their service contributions and impact. Award recipients will receive certificates recognizing their achievements and may offer brief remarks as part of the program. A social reception will follow the ceremony in the Pedas Center, providing an opportunity for attendees to celebrate the recipients and their accomplishments.
The Thiel College MLK Jr. Day Service Award has been presented annually to students, faculty, and staff who demonstrate an ongoing commitment to service and positive change both on campus and beyond. Family members, friends, and members of the Thiel College community are encouraged to attend.
