GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College honored student scholarship recipients and the donors who support their education during its annual Endowed Scholarship Recognition event on Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center.
The gathering continued a decades-long campus tradition that celebrates the impact of endowed scholarships and the relationships they create. The event brings together student recipients, donors, and—in many cases—members of donors’ families, offering an opportunity to connect, share experiences, and discuss the history and purpose behind each scholarship. The program underscores the role of endowed scholarships in supporting student success, financial aid access, and long-term educational opportunity at Thiel College.
“Endowed scholarships are among the most powerful ways our alumni and friends shape the Thiel experience,” Vice President for Advancement Roberta Leonard said. “When donors meet the students whose lives are changed by their generosity, it reinforces the purpose behind their gift and strengthens the shared commitment that drives our mission forward.”
Program remarks noted the connection between donor and student as “one of the most special encountered in higher education.”
