Each year during their annual conference, the IBS Media Awards are presented to its member stations. This year, almost 3,000 entries were submitted from more than 100 schools throughout the world. Additionally, Al Roker from NBC was the keynote speaker at this year’s IBSNYC 2025.
Thiel College’s six nominations include:
“First, I am more than proud of you all. Your hard work and continued dedication to WXTC are truly impressive. Second, I'm humbled at being nominated for an award myself,” Assistant Professor of Communication, Mattew R. Humphrey said. “Thank you for nominating me! This is a big deal for all of us, especially considering the schools we're up against.”
WXTC, Thiel College’s radio station, has been nominated for the Golden Mic Awards eight times in the last nine years.
