Thiel College science scholarship open to Mahoning Valley high school students

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Students from the Ohio counties of Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull who want to major in a science-related field at Thiel College are encouraged to contact the Office of Admission in the first week of January to be considered for the Marion G. Resch Science Scholarship.

The Resch Foundation is committed to promoting the education of young people throughout the Mahoning Valley. The Resch Science Scholarship Program at Thiel College has provided college funding opportunities to young adults from the Mahoning Valley since 2006.

Students earning a bachelor’s degree from Thiel College in one of the following disciplines can apply for the Resch Science Scholarship:

• Biology
• Biochemistry
• Chemistry
• Communication sciences and disorders
• Environmental chemistry
• Environmental science
• Exercise science
• Neuroscience
• Physics
• Secondary education with a science concentration

The scholarship provides partial tuition funds after all other possible scholarships, grants, and other tuition reduction programs have been applied.

This scholarship is part of the more than $100 million in aid that has been awarded at Thiel College since 2009. Ninety-nine percent of students at Thiel College receive some form of financial aid. Learn more about other scholarship opportunities by visiting the College’s scholarship website.
