GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College student Andrew Yocum ’27 has been elected to serve as vice president of the Student Government Association for the 2025–26 academic year.
Yocum, a junior environmental safety management major from Youngstown, Ohio, is also completing the College’s entrepreneurship certificate. He is a 2023 graduate of Boardman High School.
A student-athlete, Yocum competes on Thiel’s indoor and outdoor track and field teams and the cross country team.
The Thiel College Student Government Association serves as the voice of the student body, advocating for student needs and promoting engagement and involvement across campus. The SGA General Assembly consists of five elected executive board officers, class officers for each academic year, and representatives from all recognized student organizations. All members have voting power and work collaboratively to allocate funding and support student-led initiatives.
Meetings are held bi-weekly during the academic year and are open to the entire student body.
