GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Christmas Festival, a local holiday tradition since 1953, is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 in the College’s Lutheran Heritage Room of the Howard Miller Student Center.
Led by director Brianne Samson, The Thiel Choir will perform a variety of new and traditional Christmas favorites. Director of Bands Scott DiTulio and members of the Thiel Brass Choir and the Thiel Woodwind Ensemble as well as campus Pastor Brian Riddle ’07 and students involved in campus ministry will also participate. Students from diverse academic fields make up the choir, band and campus ministry.
Attendees can also enjoy the festive atmosphere with carols and cocoa available during the event. The Christmas Festival, a longstanding tradition, has been a part of Thiel College and Mercer County since the founding of the Thiel Choir in 1953 by Marlowe Johnson H’02. The Thiel Choir has shared its musical talents across the United States, Canada, and on nine European tours.
The Christmas Festival is free and open to the public, offering an opportunity for the community to come together in celebration of the holiday season. Thiel College looks forward to welcoming everyone to this special event.
