Thiel College alumna Maggie Giel-Bovaird featured as one of Pittsburgh’s 40 under 40

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Maggie Giel-Bovaird ’09, director of outreach & recruitment for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, was named a member of Pittsburgh Magazine's "40 under 40" recently.

Giel-Bovaird is a magna cum laude graduate of Thiel College with undergraduate degrees in communications studies and media communications, as well as a 2011 Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate with a master's degree in school counseling (K-12).

Giel-Bovaird was the class secretary and a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority where she held positions as Vice President of Membership and New Member Education. She belonged to numerous honor societies including Order of Omega, Les Lauries, Chi Alpha Epsilon, Lamda Sigma and Lamda Pi Eta. Giel-Bovaird has been a member of the Thiel College Alumni Association Board of Directors.
