GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College will be hosting prospective students with a series of visit days tailored to student interests and conceived to go beyond a simple tour of campus facilities. It all begins Saturday with a Leadership Competition Day.
Accepted students who have exceeded specific academic criteria will be on campus Saturday, Feb. 1 to compete for additional scholarship money. The College held its first Leadership Competition on Jan. 25. Those students are competing for one of five $20,000 scholarships.
“This is a great opportunity for faculty and staff across campus to see the leadership abilities of our incoming students for fall 2020,” Thiel College Coordinator of Events and Multicultural Recruitment Angella Bradley said.
Additionally, throughout February, there will be visit days where high school students can get an in-depth preview of their intended major. During these days students will attend classes, meet with faculty and Thiel College students, tour campus and learn about career and post-graduate options:
“Each day is catered to a particular major for students to receive in-depth insights into their chosen program of interest,” Bradley said. “They get first-hand experience in their major at Thiel College.”
High school students unable to visit during the daytime, there are also evening Twilight Tours on both February 13 and 26 from 6–7:30 p.m.
