Thiel College Office of Admission hosting high school students for summer visit events

GREENVILLE, Pa.—The first of two summer BBQ visit events at Thiel College is at 9 a.m. Monday and will include hands-on sessions with staff and faculty members, a tour of the campus and an introduction to the application process and financial aid procedures.

“Without homework and extracurricular activities filling the schedule, now is the perfect time for high school students to begin evaluating colleges. During the summer, the relaxed atmosphere and smaller number of students on campus create a truly personalized feel for our guests,” Vice President for Enrollment Management Ashley Josay Zullo said. “This one-on-one interaction is a perfect introduction to the individualized attention our students and their families receive.”

Zullo added that the numerous lakes, parks and activities in the region make northwest Pennsylvania an attractive summer travel destination, too.

While on campus, guests will engage in discussion with Thiel students and faculty about areas of interest and scholarship opportunities. A campus tour will showcase academic buildings, including the new Haer Family Science and Arts Connector and the modern James Pedas Communication Center, residence halls and includes lunch at on the campus quad.

All events are free.

The Office of Admission is also hosting new student orientations the following week on Monday, June 24 and Friday, June 28. A third orientation is set for July 3.

About Thiel College

Thiel College is an independent college founded in the Lutheran tradition. Located in Greenville, Pa., the College offers 60 majors and minors, 24 varsity sports, and an 11:1 student-faculty ratio.
