Junior health systems and biology major named April Thiel Team Member of the Month

GREENVILLE, Pa.—Mercyne Demma ’22, of Pittsburgh, was named the Office of Admission Thiel Team Member of the Month for April.

Demma is pursuing a double major in health systems and biology/pre-vet paired with a triple minor in equestrian science, wildlife biology, and medical biology. Demma is a member of the Chi Omega sorority, the Cheer team, Lacrosse team, the Fitness, Equestrian, and Tech Clubs, the Health Professions Institute, and she serves as the treasurer for the American Chemical Society.

“My favorite thing about Thiel is that the professors work so closely with you and are always willing to help prepare you for graduate school, harder classes, and the workforce,” Demma said.

The Thiel Team is comprised of students employed by the Office of Admission. Students primarily serve as ambassadors for prospective students and their families, but they are also responsible for a variety of other jobs, including work on mailings, market research, telemarketing, event support, and other administrative, professional, and office duties.

About Thiel College

Thiel College is an independent college founded in the Lutheran tradition. Located in Greenville, Pa., the College offers 60 majors and minors, 24 varsity sports, and an 11:1 student-faculty ratio.
