Senior biology student recognized as Thiel Team member of the month for February

GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Sydney Turner ’21, of Chicora, Pa., was named the Office of Admission Thiel Team Member of the Month for February.

The senior biology major and psychology minor is a member of Sigma Kappa sorority, the Thiel Student Support Network, the National Society of Leadership and Success, the biology honorary society and the sophomore honorary society. She is a 2017 graduate of Karns City Area High School.

“Thiel creates a sense of belonging from the moment that you step on campus, and it quickly becomes your home,” Turner said. “The professors, faculty and students form our own small community and that really gives students a place to grow and become the best they can be once they get here.”​

The Thiel Team comprises students employed by the Office of Admission. The students primarily serve as ambassadors for prospective students and their families, but they are also responsible for a variety of other jobs and including work on mailings, market research, telemarketing, event support and other administrative, professional and office duties.
