GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Justin Hartwig, former National Football League player and member of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Super Bowl XLIII championship team, visited Thiel College on Thursday, Jan. 16 to speak with students as part of the College’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes program.
Hartwig, who played in the NFL from 2002-10, shared his experiences as a professional athlete and answered questions from students about his faith. During the event, Hartwig discussed how his personal beliefs shaped his career and approach to life, offering insights into the challenges and opportunities he encountered as a professional athlete.
The event provided Thiel College students the opportunity to engage in dialogue with Hartwig, exploring the intersection of faith, sports, and leadership. The discussion highlighted the role of faith in navigating the pressures of professional athletics and making decisions aligned with personal values.
