GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College accounting and business administration double-major Toby Atwood ’26 has been named the President of the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Committee.
The Presidents’ Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is composed of representatives from all member institutions to help lead initiatives and conversations. The PAC SAAC President presents current initiatives of the committee at the PAC Presidents’ Council Meetings, held semi-annually in December and April. The PAC Presidents’ Council comprises presidents for the athletic conference’s member institutions.
During the December meeting of the conference’s presidents in Pittsburgh, Atwood said she shared campus initiatives, as well as the PAC SAAC’s intentions to serve as volunteers at the Pennsylvania Special Olympics Winter Games in February. She also reported on the plan to have the funds raised during D3 week in April donated to the Special Olympics.
As president of the PAC SAAC, Atwood also attended a SAAC Workshop at the Opendorse Bowl Series Weekend, which gathered SAAC representatives from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference, North Coast Athletic Conference, Ohio Athletic Conference and Presidents’ Athletic Conference. Atwood represented Thiel and the Presidents’ Athletic Conference with her peers and industry professionals.
“Toby Atwood is a well-rounded individual who represents the hallmarks of a Division III student-athlete. Toby’s commitment to building a positive experience through connection, service work and competition for student-athletes on Thiel’s campus and across other conference campuses makes her perfect for PAC SAAC President,” said Kristin Consuegra, Assistant Commissioner for Governance and Championships and Senior Woman Administrator for the PAC. “We look forward to her continued leadership through the 2025-2026 academic year.”
Atwood is a junior from Kittanning, Pa. She is a member of the tennis team and 2022 graduate of Armstrong Junior-Senior High School.
