If you were in a performance ensemble in high school and you love to play music, then Thiel College has a place for you! Thiel's bands provide a creative outlet for your musical talents, as well as enrich the College and the region as a whole with the gift of music. The Thiel College Department of Music & Theatre offers different band options for you to get involved with and express yourself musically!

Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride

The Thiel Tomcat Marching Pride was formed in 2010, and has gained recognition throughout the region by performing at various events. Every member of the Marching Pride is invaluable and plays an important role in the development and growth of the band. As a member of the Marching Pride you'll have the opportunity to perform at events like:

• Pre-game and halftime shows at home football games
• Band competitions and exhibitions
• Local and regional parades
• Amusement parks and professional sporting events

The Marching Pride offers a life changing experience that will help you meet your future academic, professional, and personal goals!

Concert Band & Jazz Ensemble

The Thiel College Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble perform a public concert at the end of the spring semester. A variety of musical styles are selected to give each band member exposure to pieces and styles from past and present! These styles can include:

• Marches
• Standard works
• New works
• Swing
• Funk/Fusion
• Latin styles
• And more!

Additionally, the Jazz Ensemble will travel to public and private schools to perform for students throughout the region.

Scholarships

Scholarships are available to all members of the bands, choirs and theatre. Feel free to contact The Office of Admission for more information.
