Campus Life

Commuter Life at Thiel

commuter support page banner

We understand that you are balancing more than a daily commute; you often must balance home, social, work and academic responsibilities. Therefore, we want to ensure you find your community and connect academically and socially to campus and provide you with the tools and resources to assist in your success and make the most of your experience as a Tomcat.

Commuter Services Office

Students who live off campus are equally connected to the Tomcat family and we want campus to be your home away from home. In the Commuter Services Office, we are committed to keeping you connected to Thiel —helping you stay informed about upcoming activities and events and facilitating connections with professors and staff members.

Commuter Services, within the Office of Student Life, serves all aspects of our commuter population by providing learning and engagement opportunities outside of an academic setting. In addition, there is a strong emphasis on the campus experience for our commuter students and the need for their increased involvement in extracurricular activities.

Commuter FAQ

Campus Dining

Campus dining options are available for both residential and commuter students. As a commuter, you can also enjoy meals in the TC Café or Tomcat Bistro as part of your daily schedule. Commuters can choose between a block meal plan, which allows them several meals for a set price, or purchasing a ‘declining balance’ card – a pre-loaded card with a specific, limited spending amount.

Campus Life

Thiel College has a lot to offer and we encourage you to make the most of your experience. Learning takes place in and out of the classroom a number of clubs, and organizations, dynamic classroom learning, athletics, and community involvement opportunities.
