Welcome Weekend is an important part of your Thiel experience—it is the beginning of four years that will shape your future. This program is designed to help you with the transition to college, to educate you about various on-campus opportunities, and to help you to begin forming lifelong friendships with your classmates. Together, we are Tomcat strong!
Students participating in activities and athletic programs that have an August camp, will receive more specific move-in information from your respective coach or instructor. All students will also receive an email with information about move-in day on Sunday, August 16.
All Students arriving to campus on August 16, must first check-in at the Thiel College Gym Parking lot, located on the right, once you have come in our main entrance on College Avenue.
In order to make move-in as efficient as possible, we ask students to follow these assigned times*:
|Last Name A through J||Move In between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.|
|Last Name K through R||Move in between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m.|
|Last Name S through Z||Move in between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.|
Please note the following exceptions:
*If you did not bring your belongings to campus during August 2 to 7, we suggest you arrive earlier to allow ample time to move inside your residence hall.
**If you are a Commuter Student, we suggest arriving later, between the 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. window.
All other students, should follow the foregoing chart.
Please finalize your "Must Complete" Financial Arrangement, Health Record, and IT Agreement items before Friday, August 14, to ensure your check-in process has no delays and saves you time.
If you have special dietary needs (Lactose Intolerance, Gluten Sensitivity, etc.) please fill this form, and AVI Food Services will do their best to accommodate your requests during Orientation day.
Please also remember to upload your photo here, so we can have your student ID ready upon arrival.
For Parents, Family Members, and Guardians: Due to the current climate, we remind students to bring no more than ONE GUEST, if they do not have their own vehicle, to campus on August 16. You will still be given a mandatory temperature screening, but will be asked to remain in your vehicle at drop off and say goodbye to your student. We appreciate your understanding of the health guidelines Thiel College has to follow during this time.
