The Ruth A. Miller Senior Seminar provides an opportunity for students to meet and interact with alumni and friends who have enjoyed distinguished careers in the corporate, non-profit, and government spheres. Special emphasis is placed on developing and refining business etiquette, interviewing, and networking skills.
Each seminar begins with dinner at 6:30 p.m. in the Sawhill-Georgian Room in the Howard Miller Center. After dinner, the program begins at 7:30 p.m. with a presentation of approximately 30-45 minutes, followed by questions from students, faculty and other guests.
The Ruth A. Miller Senior Seminar class (BADM 474) is open to juniors and seniors with a major in the Department of Business Administration and Accounting, and to other majors with the approval of the instructor. The seminar format is an integrative process which assists students in forming a personal style of management and leadership, based in part on input from successful business professionals.
