GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Lillian “LiVi” Nielsen, of Sparta, Tenn., has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship to attend Thiel College.
The Dean’s Scholarship, worth $12,000 over four years, is awarded annually to five incoming students who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
Nielsen is a student at George Washington University Online High School and plans to pursue the five-year Bachelor of Science/Master of Science program in communication sciences and disorders and speech-language pathology.
In high school, Nielsen was involved in multiple leadership roles within the National Honor Society, including president, vice president and secretary. She also works as a peer mentor leader, served on the yearbook staff, and worked as a tutor at Northridge Elementary School. Nielsen is also involved with the Ukraine Youth Action Network, representing her school in the organization.
She is the daughter of Michael and Laura Nielsen.
