GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Thiel College is a host campus for the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps program.
The Sea Cadet Corps is a prestigious organization that offers young individuals an unparalleled chance to explore the maritime services while gaining valuable leadership skills. With Thiel College as a designated host campus, this partnership will enable aspiring Sea Cadets to engage in training experiences, educational workshops, and leadership seminars.
“The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a great youth program that focuses on leadership development, instilling values, building confidence, character and overall self-development,” Thiel College veterans liaison Mike Mason said.
The Sea Cadets did their first training on campus on Aug. 27. Their next drill will be Sept. 16 at Thiel College where they will be part of the opening ceremony for the 1 p.m. football game.
The Sea Cadets program at Thiel College will offer participants a unique blend of classroom instruction, hands-on training, and leadership development opportunities. Cadets will have the chance to engage in various activities, including maritime skills training, physical fitness regimens and teamwork exercises.
