GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Thiel College Office of Communications and Marketing earned national recognition for its student and COVID-related communications recently.
The 8th Annual Education Digital Marketing Awards recognized the student newsletter Thiel Happenings and the COVID-related #makeittomay video.
The student newsletter earned a silver award while the #makeittomay video received a bronze award.
Entries were received from colleges, universities and secondary schools across the country.
Judges for the Education Digital Marketing Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals and our editorial board.
“Consistent, clear and creative communications are central to connecting our community,” Thiel College Executive Director of Communications Richard Orr said. “Our teamwide collaboration found ways to rally our community and keep them informed in one of the most unpredictable and unprecedented chapters in our nation’s history.”
This is the third year Thiel College won recognition from the Education Digital Marketing Awards.
“These awards highlight our commitment to new media and our strategy of communicating directly with a digitally engaged audience,” Orr said. “While these recognitions are given to the Office of Communications and Marketing, they are representative of the teamwork across campus to share information and ideas.”
