GREENVILLE, Pa.-- The Office of Communications and Marketing at Thiel College, a leading liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, has recently been recognized for its communication strategies and print collateral.
Thiel College earned four recognitions from the annual Education Digital Marketing Awards—open to colleges and universities from around the country. It was one of five institutions to receive a silver award in the Newsletter category for T-Notes, an email newsletter for staff and friends of the College. In the Social Media category, Thiel College was one of 10 institutions to receive a silver award. The Education Digital Marketing awards recognized the office’s work on #ThielonTour social media campaign, which had students, staff and faculty submit photos of themselves from around the world with a Thiel flag or wearing Thiel-branded clothing.
In the External Publications category, Thiel won Merit awards for the spring/summer 2017 edition of the alumni magazine, The Bell, and for its print brochure “Where…,” an informative view book that is given to prospective students. The Education Digital Marketing Awards are given after a review by a national panel of industry specialists, who judge creativity, marketing execution, message impact, technology application and innovation content.
Thiel College was recognized with a silver award for the “Where…” view book from the College & University Public Relations and Associated Professionals on March 15. Participating institutions from seven states submitted about 500 entries. The judges are experts in the field of communications and included engineers, writers, educators, corporate executives and media professionals.
“These recognitions single out the Office of Communications and Marketing, but they are just the tip of the iceberg. We are fortunate to have great partners in the students and alumni that provide us with a wealth of stories about student success,” Thiel College Executive Director of Communications and Marketing Richard Orr said. “Teams across campus help our office by cooperating in all our endeavors.”
