GREENVILLE, Pa.-- Members of the Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will converge on Thiel College from June 8–11 for the organization’s annual synod assembly.
The Northwestern Pennsylvania Synod comprises 74 congregations and members across all or part of 15 counties.
Thiel College president Susan Traverso, Ph.D. will greet Synod members and deliver an official welcome message at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Activities are scheduled throughout the day Thursday and Friday and will culminate Saturday at noon.
The Northwestern Synod includes churches in Cameron, Clarion, Crawford, Elk, Erie, Forest, Jefferson, McKean, Mercer, Potter, Venango and Warren counties, and also portions of Armstrong, Indiana and Westmoreland counties.
