Saturday’s activities include the return of the Met Your Mate event for the first time in 11 years. Thiel alumni couples are invited to gather at 10:30 a.m. for a walk beginning near Hodge Hall and continuing to the David Johnson Memorial Chapel. The event will include a blessing, renewal of vows and photographs in the Betty Harter-Spence Prayer Garden.

The annual Homecoming Parade will bring the celebration into Greenville Saturday afternoon. Parade lineup begins at 1 p.m. at Riverside Park, with the parade stepping off at 1:45 p.m.

The parade will leave Riverside Park and turn right onto North Race Street before turning right onto Shenango Street. The route will then turn left onto North Penn Avenue and proceed north to Eagle Street. The parade will turn right and travel east on Eagle Street, passing the president’s residence, the Heitzenroder House at 40 Eagle St., where float judging will take place. The parade will continue to College Avenue, turn north and proceed to Ridgeway Avenue, where it will turn left and conclude.

Motorists traveling through the area during the parade can use a detour along Packard Avenue, Conneaut Lake Road, Williamson Road and Hadley Road.

Homecoming activities continue at Alumni Stadium with tailgating beginning at noon and the Thiel College football team hosting Hiram College at 3 p.m.

The weekend concludes Sunday with the Service of Remembrance at 11 a.m. in the David Johnson Memorial Chapel and the All Tomcat Brunch.

Homecoming events are designed to reconnect alumni with the College while also bringing students, families and community members together to experience Thiel traditions and campus life.
